Rani Jewellers ("we", "us") runs this app so you can see our collections, follow the day's metal rate and place an order. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.
What we collect
- Your mobile number. It is how you sign in and how we identify your orders. We do not ask for a password or an email address.
- Your name, so we know who to greet when you collect a piece.
- Your orders: the pieces, their weight and purity, the rate they were priced at, and the amount.
- A notification token for your device, if you allow notifications, so we can tell you when your order is confirmed.
What we do not collect
We never see or store your card, UPI PIN or bank details. Payment happens entirely inside your own UPI app. What reaches us is only the money and your message telling us it was sent.
We do not track your location, read your contacts, or use your data for advertising.
Why we use it
- To show you your own orders and their progress.
- To contact you on WhatsApp or by phone about an order.
- To send the notifications you have switched on, such as an order update or the day's rate. You can turn each of these off in Settings at any time.
- To keep the accounts and records the law requires us to keep.
When you press Confirm on WhatsApp, the app opens WhatsApp with a message already written. Nothing is sent until you send it. Once you do, that conversation is governed by WhatsApp's own privacy policy as well as ours.
Who else sees it
Nobody outside the shop, except the services that make the app work: our hosting provider, the SMS provider that delivers your sign-in code, and Google's notification service. We do not sell your data, and we never will.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept as long as the law requires us to keep our books. Your account details are kept until you ask us to delete them.
Deleting your account
Profile has a Delete my account button. It removes your account, your saved name and your notification tokens straight away. Orders you have already placed stay in our books, but are no longer linked to you.
Your rights
You may ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to us on WhatsApp or come into the shop and we will help.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Serious changes will be told to you in the app.
