These terms apply when you use the Rani Jewellers app to view our collections or place an order. Using the app means you accept them.
Prices follow the live rate
Gold and silver move all day. Every price you see is worked out at that moment from the shop rate for that metal, the weight and purity of the piece, and its making charge. The breakdown is shown in full on every product.
A price may therefore change between adding a piece to your cart and placing the order. The amount that counts is the one calculated when you press Place order, and it is shown to you before you pay.
Making charges and stones
- The making charge is a percentage of the metal value and is listed separately on every piece.
- Pieces set with diamonds or other stones are priced in the app on their metal weight only. The stone is quoted separately at the shop.
- Prices include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
Placing an order
Placing an order reserves the piece and generates a UPI QR code for the exact amount. It is a request to buy, not a completed sale.
Your order is confirmed only after we have seen the payment in our account. Until then it shows as awaiting confirmation. We may decline an order — for example if a piece has already been sold in the shop — and in that case any money received is returned in full.
Payment
- Payment is by UPI, using the QR code or button in the app.
- After paying, send us the screenshot on WhatsApp so we can match the payment to your order quickly.
- We never ask for your UPI PIN, an OTP for a payment, or your card details. Nobody from the shop will ever ask you for them. If someone does, it is not us.
Collection and delivery
Unless agreed otherwise, orders are collected from the shop. Please bring the order number and the mobile number you ordered with.
Hallmarking and purity
Gold jewellery is sold with the hallmark applicable at the time of sale. The purity of each piece is stated on its page and on your bill.
Exchange and buy-back
Our shop exchange and buy-back terms apply to pieces bought through the app exactly as they do to pieces bought at the counter. The rate and deductions on the day of exchange are what apply. Please ask us for the current terms before you buy.
Cancellations
An order that has not yet been confirmed can be cancelled by telling us on WhatsApp. Once a piece has been made or altered to order, it cannot be cancelled.
Photographs
Photographs are of the actual piece wherever possible. Colour can differ slightly between screens. Weight and purity, which is what you pay for, are stated exactly.
Your account
Your mobile number is your account. Keep your phone and your sign-in codes to yourself; anyone with the code can see your orders. Tell us at once if you think someone else has used your account.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute is subject to the courts of Chhattisgarh.
